HoverAid reaches the unreachable in Mozambique
HoverAid responded to the recent flooding in Central Mozambique by sending a hovercraft to the Zambezi river to work with Oxfam, delivering much needed aid. Over 240,000 people were affected and many villages were completely cut off as roads became impassable. With the water flowing through dense vegetation boats struggled too.
Andy Mayo of HoverAid and Carl Ramsey of MAF were able to deliver Oxfam assessment teams to cut off villages, mosquito spraying groups to relief camps, and urgent medical supplies and equipment to isolated clinics, using the River Rover’s unique abilities. In many cases truly reaching the unreachable.
