Harston Parish Church concert Many thanks to everyone who took part in and supported the Harston Parish Church musical soirée "So what happened to the Duck?". It was a lovely evening of music drama and fun culminating in a terrific performance of Prokofiev's Peter and the wolf. This is the fourth concert in aid of HoverAid and we're already looking forward to the next one in the summer. The concert raised £400 on the night and another £400 followed. Thanks. |

New York Marathon 2008 Richard Wheat pulled out all the stops and completed the New York Marathon in aid of HoverAid. He raised over £1200 which is just fantastic - it will make a real difference to communities along the Manambolo river where River Rover 501 is now based in the regional centre of Ankavandra. Richard flew the flag for HoverAid despite battling pancreatic cancer - it was a truly inspiring and heroic effort, fitted in between visits to hospital. Thanks Richard. |

Great South Run 2008 Well done Benj, Paul, Jo and Guy for surviving 10 miles of the Great South Run in really bad weather. As the rain lashed down the money poured in - between them they raised over £1000. |

Great Edinburgh Run 2008 We want to say a huge thankyou to Andy, Andy, Andy and Richard for running the Great Edinburgh Run on behalf of HoverAid. The weather held out and despite the hilly course around the historic city Richard even managed a personal best for a 10km run! Between them they raised over £400 which will go towards supporting our Mad Medical Safari - taking doctors to remote villages along the Mangoky and Manabolo rivers in Madagascar, making a real difference to the communities that live there. Well done guys!! |
